Unusually wide main border in fantastic contrasting shades and dynamic used of alternating coloration and dramatic emphasis on design elements, including germinating plants and floral cross-sections. Beautiful high luster wool with a silk-like appearance and feel. Colors and shades include: Silver, madder root red, chestnut, coffee brown, charcoal, copper, bronze, and more. Condition notes: Mostly even wear across to knot heads with small isolated areas of foundation showing through. Most of the original side cord selvages are intact or restored. Fully secured sides and ends. Recently professionally cleaned ready for in-home use! Many years of enjoyment to come with this hand knotted Persian Belouch rug made in Persia circa 1930's vintage.
