This textile art piece, one of three selected for a local Fiber Art Exhibition, is handcrafted from a classic lace dress from the 1930's, a delicate green lace overlay on a creamy gold lining fabric. Simple in design, The Eleanor is an original pattern designed with each front lace piece being off center and layered atop a creamy gold polished cotton. I've bordered the front lace triangles with a complementary vintage sage green and light pink woven French silk trim.
The Eleanor is backed entirely with the original vintage lace textile. To join the two triangle textile pieces this classic art piece features a stunning vintage gold-tone, Aurora-borealis brooch.
